Finding the perfect balance between precision and flexibility

From the first technical discussions, FPT’s Sales Engineering team played a central role in identifying the ideal solution. Starting from 3D models of IMC’s components, the team conducted a detailed analysis and simulated machining processes to assess rigidity, stability, and cycle time performance.
Through this in-depth engineering approach, FPT demonstrated how the DINOMEK low-rail gantry system could significantly reduce machining times while ensuring maximum structural stiffness and accuracy.

Working smarter, not harder
A decisive factor in IMC Slovakia’s investment was DINOMEK’s ability to work under the so-called “pendular machining system”, a solution that perfectly aligns with the company’s goals of maximizing production efficiency.
This system was designed by FPT to intelligently divide the machine’s working area into two independently managed zones thanks to a central partition. This allows operators to safely perform fixturing and clamping operations in one zone, while machining continues in the other: the result is continuous production with no downtime.

Less space, more performance
Another key factor behind IMC Slovakia’s decision was the FPT-patented LBM System (Lowered Base Morphology), a distinctive feature of the DINOMEK model that delivers tangible benefits in both space optimization and operational efficiency.
Unlike traditional gantry machines equipped with telescopic covers - which extend the overall footprint and restrict operator access - FPT’s LBM design allows the gantry structure to slide directly over two side beds on the workable surface.
Thanks to this configuration, the machine is over 1.5 meters shorter, while operators can safely and easily move across the entire working area.
For IMC Slovakia, this meant achieving a more compact layout, improved workflow, and a significant space saving — all without compromising precision or machining capacity.
